Bagh-e Fin, Kashan
Bagh-e Fin, also known as Fin Garden, is one of the most iconic and historic gardens in Iran. Located in Kashan, this magnificent example of traditional Persian garden design was completed during the Safavid dynasty in the late 16th century.
Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bagh-e Fin embodies the beauty, symmetry, and philosophy of the classical Chahar Bagh (four-part garden) layout.
History of Bagh-e Fin
Bagh-e Fin was built under the rule of Shah Abbas I around 1590 as a royal retreat and ceremonial garden. It was later expanded and restored during the Zand and Qajar periods.
The garden also became historically significant as the location of the assassination of Amir Kabir, Iran’s reformist prime minister, in the Fin Bathhouse in 1852—a moment that marks a turning point in modern Iranian history.
